Fishing for a Story

Many of us remember this activity from years ago. All the children are put into groups and the leader goes 'fishing'. He or she needs one fish of each colour, or more of the green fish. Each fish answers a question: why? who? when? and what happened? The group then has to make up a story using the phrases they have 'fished'. The younger children draw the story. The children had a great time and worked well with each other. They also had to listen to each other and consider everyone's ideas in order to create the best story possible. All of the stories will be made into a book and put in the library for all to read.
