A visit to the Children's hospital
The Spring Fayre was a huge success, not least because of all the money that was raised. It came to a total of ... 15,525 LYD! We thank everyone who contributed in whatever way, whether that was by contributing prizes or food, making crafts, playing games or buying one of the many items for sale. Representatives of the BSB and BES went to the Children's Hospital and were joined by the Minister of Education. We met with the doctors who work in the Haematology and Oncology Department, and they impressed on us how important this money is for the children and their families. It will all be put to good use. They asked us to continue our vital support for the hospital unit. Our school has been supporting them for a number of years with the proceeds from our Bake Sales, and will continue to do so. The visit was an example of what can be done in our community when we all work together. We are proud to contribute in any way to easing the suffering of these sick children.
