BES and BSB Bazaar
After weeks of preparation, the evening of the bazaar finally arrived. It was well supported by children and parents, who had a great time walking around the school and buying food and gifts, as well as playing games. All items had been donated by staff, children and parents. After a couple of hours, we all congregated in the tent outside to listen and watch ex-students sing praises for Miss Liz, a BES English teacher, who is retiring from the school after many years. Then the BSB children sang some winter songs, and an auction for some of the art work done by BES students followed. After that, the event we had all been waiting for, the raffles! The first prize was return tickets to Istanbul, donated by the Greek company, METKA. Mr and Mrs Zainoba, parents of children in the BSB school, won that prize. Then there were all the hampers to be won. Many people went home with a prize; everyone went home happy. It was a wonderful evening and the Children's Hospital will receive a substantial amount of money. Many thanks to all who contributed in whatever way. We all look forward to next year!
